Let Them Eat Cake
04/11/2011 - By Philadelphia ,Pa

Let Them Eat Cake

Let Them Eat Cake is a Wedding Design Pastry Competition featuring professionals and students.

We began humbly seven years ago with 10 to 15 bakeries and this year we hosted 40 of the area's best of the best. Our lead judges were City Cakes NY Benny Rivera and Marc Mathias whom rounded out the judging panel of notables such as Chef/Author Aliza Green, Chef Kathy Gold, Executive Pastry Chef Monica Glass and many others.

Fondant foodies and Brides-to-be converged on LOEWS Philadelphia to celebrate the works of City of Hope. They sipped KORBEL champagne cocktails, danced to the sounds of The Strangers while sampling over 40 pieces of complimentary cakes.

All proceeds of the night benefit City of Hope, an innovative research, treatment and educational institution, whom is dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases, guided by a caompassionate patient-centered philosophy, and supported by a national foundation of humanitarian philanthropy
